(The following is a reformatted version of a press release issued by Classic Golf Corp.)

Phoenix, Sept. 3, 1998 -- Classic Golf Corp. (OTC: BB: CSGC) today announced the acquisition of the World Champions of Golf Tournament (WCOG) of Spencer, Iowa. The WCOG was founded in 1992 and featured some of the great names in golf, including Sam Snead, in previous years. The event has traditionally been held at the WigWam Resort in Phoenix and will continue as the Host Resort sponsor, as the event is incorporated into the Classic Series of professional tournaments. The sponsorship is valued at $65,000.

Bud Pearson, founder of the WCOG, will remain chairman emeritus of the event scheduled for November 16-17, 1998.

Additionally, the Company would like to state that it will reschedule the New York event, previously scheduled for September 14, 1998 to a later date. This change is based on the imminent completion of a Presenting Sponsorship agreement. Damian Loth, President of the Classic Series, stated, ''After serious consideration, the Company believes that the long-term benefit to be gained from the potential sponsor warranted the rescheduling of the event.'' The revised date of the NY event will be announced as soon as the sponsorship negotiations are finalized.

Classic Golf Corp. owns and operates a series of professional golf tournaments called the Classic Series. The Inaugural Classic held in Phoenix, Arizona in March featured golf legends Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player and Sam Snead in the field of twelve players. The Classic Series of professional tournaments has the support of the Professional Golfers Association of America (P.G.A.).
