Well as a long term holder, all I have to say is OUCH!!!

I am a lot lighter in the pocketbook after the last month's action in AXP. After reviewing the AXP annual report, I noted AXP has exposure to many countries around the world. BUT most of its business is done in the USA. Also, with the exception of the 4.7 million shares owned by Nippon Life insurance most of the owners are in the USA. The local owners are hammering the stock.

Well, the best companies get hammered every few years, it happened to AXP in 1990 (real bad) and 1994 (mildly). I will continue to hold as long as the travel related services side of the company is profitable.
