First, if the president resigned, the Stock Market would absolutely tank.

Probably, but it would recover within a couple of hours and stage a big rally. On the other hand, drawn out impeachment proceedings would likely result in a full-blown bear market.

Second, Clinton will never, ever resign.

No resignation, no pardon. Starr may or may not indict a sitting president, but the OIC will surely indict Clinton as soon as he leaves office...

I think the question is not whether Clinton will resign from office but when.
