Underwriters are not allowed to say negative things about companies they funded. If you do, you don't get invited to the next cozy IPO party. What a sham. These people are no better than snake oil salesmen. It does show that the institutional hype continues unabated though. I'll probably still be getting cold-calls trying to sell me AMZN shares years after the company goes bankrupt.
