GENERAL MOTORS CORP's Saturn unit and the United Auto Workers
issued a statement Friday saying they have resolved issues that
led to a strike authorization vote at the Spring Hill, Tenn.
plant. The joint statement declined to discuss issues and how
they were resolved at the small-car plant, which employs about
7,300 hourly workers. The strike authorization vote occurred
July 19. The statement noted the resolution provides increased
job security to the workforce and promotes Saturn's vision to
grow its brand. (AP)
