I can totally empathize with your problems splitting with a local church. However, the Lord has used it to open my eyes to the harms denominationalism has done to the body...the dismembered body of Christ here in America. The group of believers I was associated with only associated with churches of the same breeding, avoiding Pentecostals, Catholics, Baptists, etc. And as I am fellowshipping with more and more of the different flavors of believer out there, man am I saddened by the state of affairs. In any denomination there will be nominal Christians...it is not the label on the outside, but God's mark on your heart.
The chorus of a song I am trying (God-willing) to write:
If God's one,
then we're one,
it's past time that we've begun
to heal the hurt that Satan's done.
Prayerfully I hope it to be a wake-up call to me, and others.
