I too suspect Alan Greenspan, being a free market economics maven, would prefer not to cut rates first to help out foreign interests.

However, the real market is out of step with this policy board and has clearly voted for lower rates and an inverted yield curve.

Alan is becoming King Canute trying to command the waves to roll back.
