SYQT Auction News:
Dale, thanks for the info...It's amazing the information
that can be dug up on the net.

Looks like they're closing shop. So much has been
made of the success of SparQ drive against the Jaz
that even Herb was touting Syquest over IOM, well
it goes to show you how much Herb knows about
the removable drive business.

Herb should further provide follow up advise for his
followers about what they should do with their Syquest
shares that I'm sure some of them had purchased
after his dissertation of their value.

I suspect that the recent price reductions of the Jaz products
are designed to keep the pressure on SparQ. We've criticized
IOM in the past for not putting competition to bed perhaps
they've changed their tactics.

It looks like Sony's HiFD isn't going to make it this year,
the OEM's would have to have them this quarter for the
all important 4 quarter and the holiday season.

I noticed in a Micron P-II 400 ad that the Zip drive opening
was molded into the case the same way a lot of the OEM's do
for the 1.44 floppy. This is the first time that I've seen a case
designed around the fitting for a Zip.
Also noticed that the Nomai web page has become a lot more
friendly to IOM, this guy's a sleeper, trying to keep an eye on it
but not much coming out, would like to see a DVD- ATAPI combo
drive.
