probably a reference to the early days of apple when microsoft supplied a large part of apple's software. jobs later claimed that microsoft ripped off parts of the windows interface but the courts decided otherwise. most people now understand that jobs ripped it off himself, from PARC research (the Xerox Star) and gates just worked from the same base. microsoft has always supplied a lot of software to apple. jobs is a great showman but mediocre as a technical guy IMHO.
