Toy - Tell me that if you were Oracle, Sun, IBM, Novell, Netscape, CISCO, etc. and MSFT called you to discuss partnerships on technology developments that you would trust anything MSFT would have to say. You must be at least a little naive about how business is conducted in this industry. Companies who are direct competitors in some products are allies in others. These relationships are built on an understanding of the underlying business dynamics and the practical consequences of certain courses of action, not on trusting anyone's word. This is not a gentleman's club and stockholders are not rewarded by the nice guy who finished last.
