full exchange of metadata and control along with the program material has been restricted to islands within the plan smpte.org The second and final report of the joint EBU/SMPTE Task Force for the Harmonization of Standards for the Exchange of Program Material as Bit Streams" will be released at this years IBC conference in Amsterdam. The 200-odd page document will be published in the September issue of the SMPTE Journal. Engineering Vice-President William C.
