GM, I agree the iMac looks faddish. Plastic, 1950's, neon and googie are words that come to mind. The first 2 weeks it was available, the Frys here in Arlington couldn't get either floor model to work while I was there. I waited for 30 minutes once, through multiple re-boots. I thought Mac's were supposed to be easier than PC's. But by last Wednesday they finally got them working. The iMac display is located across the aisle from the USB endcap which contains about 4 different peripherals. The sum total of USB devices available at Frys are a $200 US Robotics modem, a mouse, a set of speakers, and a joystick. Oh and they have lots of USB hubs to connect them all together, in case you don't want to daisy-chain them.

P.S. Why, oh why, does the unmentionable one have to talk about his sex life the moment he gets back from vacation? Doesn't he know some people eat and read at the same time?
