a small event/indicator which in the larger mix of things probably means nothing....... BUT, I just stopped over in the post office of our little villiage to pick up the mail on my way to do a little work in the office this morning (we have no delivery -- rural or otherwise, so everyone has to pickup their mail at the post office --- quaint, eh?) By the door, next to the large circular repository for junk/unwanted mail, on the table, along side the ever present cardboard box for give-away garden produce (always plenty of zucchini, with some tomatoes, carrots, and radishes in the mix this morning) were several Y2K information sheets someone (not me, I don't discuss it in public) had pulled off the 'net and run several copies of for distribution. One sheet featured an overview of the embedded chip situation. Looks like the news is spreading.
