"Mind you, the word "Jew" (or Yehudi") means "of the tribe of Judea (Yehuda)", which as far as I know were an integral part of the "Hebrews and Israelites"." It is well known that the majority of Jews today are descended from the Khazars who were converted to Judaism in the ninth century. According to Arthud Koestler(and many other researchers and historians) approximately 90% of modern Jews are descended from this Khazar conversion and have no racial relationship to Abraham or the ancient Israelites or Judahites. There are also many others from the reamining 10% that are black Ethipian Jews, semitic Arab Jews, European Jews etc. The Sephardic(or Spanish) Jews are now a very small minority( maybe 3-5%) of the toatl Jewish population of today. The Sephardic Jews are probably the only group of modern Jews who still have some genetic reltionship to the ancient Hebrews or Israelites and Judahites. The Sephardic Jews are also highly mixed with the ancient Iberians and Visigoths that invaded the Iberian penisula in the fifth and sixth century. Emile
