In the last few months, when SHG was selling at such a low price, I wondered if Samax or even another company would come in and acquire SHG. I think SHG has 20 million shares outstanding at most and an offer of $.50/share only totals $10 million. If Nkroful has the potential I think it does, it might be in Samax's best interest to take SHG out totally rather than spend time dickering with SHG's (perhaps incompetent) management over Nkroful. HOWEVER, I was lucky to catch a glimpse of a little story in the Financial Post (Sept. 3) about humongous Ashanti Goldsfields Co. offering to buy out Samax at $7.94/share (cash or stock). I think $7.94 would be Samax's 52 week high even though most Gold stocks are near their 52 week low. One would expect this to be great news for SHG, especially since Nkroful is so close to Ashanti's operations in Ghana. So what did SHG do this week - DICK ALL.

Still no news on deep mining rights and new drilling results on Nkroful, I am starting to wonder what SHG's management is doing and why are they in charge. Also, since Doreen Kent can't call herself Doreen anymore, what name she has taken up.
