Anyone still interested in hedges? Seems like it would have been helpful in the last month. Would have been nice to have a few shorts to cushion the 20+% blow to my longs. banjoman posted some interesting strategies on a "short" thread not long ago. it involves combining Value Line #5 and Zacks #5 ranked stocks to find good shorts. one could go long on #1 ranked stocks and have a hedged portfolio. there are many variations of this such as long stocks with high relative strength and short stocks with low relative strength. any comments? vol
