I would not recommend shorting Intel for the next year or two years at least (and then reevaluate it then.)

There is a huge 32bit upgrade cycle going on in businesses around the world. The platform of choice is more and more becoming Pentium Pro + NT.

Given such amazing fundamentals, why short Intel? The stock is not expensive based on next years estimates.

One should picks stocks that are going to post poor results as short candidates, not stocks that are having their estimates raised.

If you want to play short term "overbought" situations then options are a lot safer.

It would be a lot safer to short MU.
