Steve, you cover so many subjects in your post that I cannot really address them all. I would point out that interns are young people who are ENTRUSTED to companies and governmental agencies, and are a very special category of workers, often working unpaid. It is more like a learning experience than a job. This was pointed out by Democrats on talk shows discussing the Clinton scandal, so it is not any kind of partisan view. Monica is admittedly kind of emotionally damaged, but she seems to have been truly in love with Bill Clinton. A lot of the damaging stuff out about her is part of the Clinton war room dirty tricks campaign. Another example of that strategy is getting an article printed in Vanity Fair magazine about Dan Burton's love child, to try and damage the Republicans in Congress and threaten them. I saw Clinton's brother Roger on Larry King Live a week ago, and he was clearly "on message", threatening anyone who came out against his brother with this kind of damage. Maybe from where you are you see the more idealistic, above-board part of this administration, but I am usually a liberal Democratic kind of voter, and these people really are scummy criminals just below the surface.
Regarding lobbing those missiles, you are correct that we did not ask that our embassies in Africa be bombed. But by resorting to the same level of attack, we also become no better than terrorists, ourselves. |
