Dave, sounds like a nice place.
A post on this thread 3-4 months ago included a web site address,
that if I remember correctly, was written in English and was like
a current events or newspaper type information source for the
country Mongolia. If events in the near future places MGR as being
in the right place at the right time, then I'am sure many threaders
here will read this web site and discuss current events in this far
away land.
You mentioned this country is rich in resources. Hopefully the
goverment will develope them for a gradual enrichment of their
people so that they can retain their culture at the same time as
being able to live more confortability. It would be nice to see
schools and hospitals come from the countries wealth. I'am sure
there will be people that will not want to change their life style,
but the avilability of more and better medicine and food at lower
prices makes it easier for all.
Hopefully the results obtained by the government of Mongolia to let
external money, equipment and expertise to help them develope the
resources of their country is a positive one.
If in the near future MGR shows itself as being a positive company
to help Mongolia fullful its goals, then would there be other
opportunities for MGR there. Is there already a mining company in
Mongolia that reflects the type of cooperation desired by both sides?
Do you speak the language ?
