Robert,
I like your calculations, we can also look at it using AMD and Intels past performance:

6/23/95 AMD high 39 1/4, today high 27 1/4, 18mo gain of -12

6/23/95 INTC high 65 5/8, today high 135 3/4, 18mo gain of +70
normalizing the Intel figures to AMDs starting point we get:
6/23/95 INTC high 39 1/4, today high 82.2, 18mo gain of +41.8

The climb for AMD through the thirties will be hard. Many people are itching to get even, so they can drop this slow poke.

Yes, I am betting that INTC will reach 200, before AMD gets back (term used loosely) to 41.

I think the winnner should pick the time and place for throwing a party for everybody! After all the winner will have the dough!
I better get busy planning for the party, as Intel charged upward 10 points in two days with my additional shares bought at 126 5/8.
In after hours trading Intel traded at 136 3/4.
best of luck to all,
humble carl
