Sony being the settop provider for a 2-way cable box. The TCI/GI box Sony will make is similar. When analysts talk about a settop box controller chip, they are often talking about the MPEG-2 chip.......

DiviCom's InterSect, described by the company
as "an interactive set-top box controller." It is understood Sony is in
the lead to supply actual set-top boxes, but has yet to conclude an
agreement with NTL. Nokia is known to be in discussion with NTL about
supplying set-top boxes for the scheme.
