Feel free to butt in -- what can I do if I get annoyed?

Maybe it's the "baby out with the bathwater." Surely, some of this must be the anticipation that either

1) Fuel prices aren't apt to see further declines from here or

2) Planes aren't going to stay so full in the near future.

But then again, maybe not. It is a cyclical industry.
