SP,..Re: Permashorts do not exist in real-life trading. I just made that guess based on the posts since April '98 of an imminent disaster and also the same from pre-Oct. '97. Presumably, all these people posting this scenario placed their bets accordingly. Seems an awful long time and loss of profit to be placing bets on the short side unless one picked very carefully, like Cendant for example. JMHO bigcharts.com Regards, Lee
