It looks to me like a steady steam of work experience right after maybe taking some time off after high school. I am not an expert in the mining field but it does not appear that this work experience is coupled with a college program. But I could be wrong. The reason for my thoughts on this is there are no gaps in employment, as one would expect. Also I it odd that two companies seem to have the same address listed (Impala and Metallurgical Services).

Regarding the company addresses listed they do not appear to complete for one who would be interviewing for a job on a second continent from were he was living to a company that was located on yet a third continent.

As a follow up, several months ago I was searching the web for information on John Norton. I ran into several mining associations. I searched for Norton there in their member's list. He did not pop up. I will now search the web for the listed associations to see if they have member rosters listed on their web sites.

This is Witwatersrand"s web site
