as a matter of fact if you plot Canadian Dollars you will see Gold is in a year long uptrend. pacific.commerce.ubc.ca latest plots show a leveling out of Gold against US dollar. go gold as "base commodity". US dollar or CDN dollar as "currency" last table) and aug 1 1994 to aug 1 1998 for date range.
