To Ibexx and all about option volume...

Well it's not really even my thesis. There is this guy advertising frequently on the misc.invest newsgroups about his advisory service called " THE WOLF". Frankly, he annoyed a lot of people with his ads and got flamed. I once decided to give him a break and checked the info on past trades he has posted on the web site. From that, I concurred he was basically going in the same direction whenever the volume of an option was very high and a multiple of the open interest. I guess his theory is that the open interest will be high, too if the specialists are willing to sell the options by opening new positions. Since then I have been checking this idea out on paper and so far I picked 3 out of 3 short term moves in (CKFR, BUD and lately INTC). Too bad I did not go with real money with INTC. When I posted my previousl message on Dec 16th, the DEC 135 and 140 Calls had traded a couple contracts each with very little open interest. That with the stock around 126 and 4 days to go... Yes, the option books says the public is stupid but for this the public should have been insane to load up...

Thought I'd pass this info along and if anbody after reading decides to try it out on paper or for real I'd be very much interested in future discussions and possible refinements to this idea...

Happy trading to you all...
