Here is something to digest. Integris and Peritus Software Services signed an agreement under which Integris has an exclusive, worldwide license to use Peritus' Automate:2000SM service technologies. Says Jonathan J. Burbank, president of Integris, "We feel that the Peritus Automate:2000 technologies are by far the most automated, reliable and cost-effective implementation available."

Integris is Groupe Bull's worldwide information technology services division. They operate around the world, including Europe, the U.S., South America, South Africa, and the Far East. They employ more than 5,000 highly qualified professionals. Integris' outsourcing operations include eight operating units and 17 multi-platform data centers. In 1995, they had worldwide revenues of $1.08 billion.
Bull has a presence in more than 85 countries, more than 24,000 employees, and combined revenue of $5.3 billion in 1995. Bull is recognized for innovative products such as Escala servers, Sagister multiframes, CP8 smart cards, plus infrastructure software such as ISM/OpenMaster.
Peritus is a private company (sound familiar???) with a global customer base. They have offices in Mass., AZ., CO., Conn., and IL., plus partners in the U.S., Canada, Spain, and Italy. n The President, Dominic Chan (sound familiar??? -- what's a "g" amongst friends, says their patents (sound familiar????) enable them to provide proof of capability while protecting their intellectual property.
Oh, one last bit of info. IBM will shortly be announcing an alliance with Peritus, as well.
Question, vipers:
1. Why would companies of this magnitude go with Peritus???? Did Matridigm and Zitel take all the brains away from IBM?? Couldn't IBM wait until 1/6/97 to sign on with the SUPREME PROVIDER?? What's wrong with this picture?
Mad Monk, I know you will understand the implications here. Your conclusions will be right ultimately, but it may take being very drugged for a while in order to keep the left hand from pulling the plug on the right hand's 1998 party!!!! These vipers think they are so smart. They have no idea. I love toying with them.
