jim, let's cut to the chase: the original "sex" subject in reference to Clinton was the Jones lawsuit, which was presided over by Federal Judge Susan Webber Wright. Regardless of the future of the case yeah or nay, it was a duly authorized lawsuit. Clinton chose to lie under oath in that lawsuit, about a subject which Judge Susan Webber Wright deemed material at the time. The deposition was duly authorized, regardless of the future of the deposition, yeah or nay.

Clinton chose to lie under oath, it looks like to me. I think Ken Starr's Grand Jury thinks so too (just an educated guess on my part).

It was a lawsuit regarding the Democrat's pet issue, "sexual harassment". SA was a "Big Deal" under the continued pushing by the feminist movement (attn Michelle). So it is the height of hypocrisy that the favorite boy of the Feminist movement lied to a duly authorized federal court in a sexual harassment trial.

That fateful decision was the beginning of a mountain of lies, obstruction, and abuse of Executive Branch powers, the culmination of which led Clinton to volunteer that he had baldly lied to absolutely everyone. Live by the lie and die by the lie.
