i am not so sure about this...
granted, the sentiment of late has been turning far more
cautious than i care to remember, but i suggest you refer
to a more visible and a perhaps more vocal contingent
than an actual majority. would these so-called shorts
also include those investors who feel [at least recently], that
playing oex puts would allow them to participate in the recent
volatility...even if that is not the case, i know you have contributed
to threads, such as kahuna, where i suspect others would take
exception to such a characterization.
my only point, iq, is this:
blanket generalizations about the SI composition are as misleading,
at times, as broad assumptions in any arena. and believe me, i defer
to your expertise in just about any and all of them...i just feel your
given here may be a bit skewed.
