I have no idea what anyone else said in sending you private messages, my communication was only in what I posted, so I'll respond to your reaction to that - solicited, desired or not.
This and the other SI threads are discussion forums, not fact only forums. There is room and opportunity for expressing fact, opinion, news reporting, supposition, sarcasm, guesses, hopes, etc., etc.; however, the protocol is that each statement be labeled so that we all know where the poster is coming from. It is that extra dimension of information that I found lacking in your post.
The optimist in all of us was no-doubt awaiting a fast comeback with some great factual backup that was just breaking into the Wave-world news.
