Growth Opportunities ?

Is it possible that a company whose stock
was beaten down worse in the October, 1997
correction than in the current down market
would be in a better position to recover ?

I received a private message about this theory.

Here is a list of tickers for companies whose stock
lost more than 15% from the Dow Jones high on
10/7/97 to the Dow Jones low on 10/28/97 (and
some continued their decline), but have lost less than
5% in value from the Dow Jones high of 7/17/98 to
the present.

AAPL 35.125
AMP 37.250
EGR 30.000
GENZ 25.875
HM 12.000
IVX 8.812
PDG 11.312
PKX 12.625
SMOD 16.812
SRA 27.812
VTR 11.000
WIND 38.500

Hey, let's follow them for a while.
Can't do much worse than some of
the lists I have posted <g>.
