Art ABC is wrong , IBM's Cobra might get hurt biting its own tail

IBM's $2,999 bad-assed Cobra devouring AAPL's $1,299 little baby iMAC ?

Big Blue bully , but wait would IBM eat itself ?

" EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. - Copper interconnects have hit the marketplace with IBM Corp.'s initial commercial shipments of the 400-MHz PowerPC 750 microprocessor.

Apple Computer Inc. is expected to use the processors, which Apple refers to as the G3 MPU. "

IBM's RISC based PowerPCs run circles around INTC's CISC CPUs .

AAPL's 233mz iMAC crunches a INTC 400mz in some processing tests and IBM plans a 8-way 1,000mz PowerPC for its mainframes .

IBM's 740 PowerPC could find its way into internet/TV set top boxes and IBM is also moving into the mobile computing arena:

" The combination should permit the integration of RF front ends with IF, control-logic and, eventually, baseband circuitry to produce reduced-chip-count mobile phones and mobile terminals.

SiGe high-speed switching capability will be used in telecommunications and routers.

Ole Blue iron sales reps thought AT & T's research would love to have what IBM threw away at day's end - now its INTC , Cisco and Lucent drooling .

Same game , different day .
