Dear Mike,

Good to hear from you again, congratulations for securing another
building.

Chances of coming to San Francisco is zero, without a letter of offer
from an American firm, I cannot contemplate the slightest possibility.

The same applies in Canada, I need the same thing, of course my
brother is disappointed if I do not get any positive news to come
closer to him.

I am 5 ft 2 in. tall. I e-mail a photo some weeks ago, did you receive
it ?

The latest update from Malaysia is we are very much
bombarded with political and financial events. First
our governemnt introduced new monetary policy - by our Central Bank .
These have great implications on our currency which are offshre -
estimated at about RM 20 - 25 billion ( about USD 5 - 6.5 billion
today).

Malaysian govt has decided that Malaysian currency will only be
allowed to be traded inside Malaysia as from 1 Oct. All existing RM
will have up to Oct. 1 to be repatriated back into Malaysia, after
which it will have no value outside Malaysia.

The objective is to freeze offshore ringgit being used to be traded
speculatively and adversely affecting the real ringgits that are being
used within Malaysia. In simple terms, these offshore ringgits have
been used as a gambling chips and the only way to curb it is to stop
them from circulating abroad.

Thus, we should expect billions of ringgits changing hands till the
end of Sept. and billions of it would most probably be finding their
way home to Malaysia - Investment Bankers and International Banks
should take full advantage of this new policy to assist clients who
have big stock of ringgits to invest back in Malaysia - in cheap
stocks, new businesses , new investments.

Then the next day, 3rd of Sept. our Prime Minister sacked his Deputy
and Finance Minister. So we do not have any Dep. Prime Minister and
Finance Minister. Our PM decides that in the present economic crisis,
he will take back full control until the economy inproves.

Since the drastic announcement, stock market last week jumped up and
improved 39% in 3 days. So it is good signs.

Otherwise, we are having alot of rain - it is the monsoon rainy
seasons, with lots of thunderstorms. I read and seen news on the
Californian fires, typhoons in Florida. The world's weather is causing
havoc.

Best regards,

Jacqueline
