the reason i like mer so much (short term) is because it will be a quick mover in a rally. IMO it bottomed on friday bouncing off of 58 very quickly. i would be a seller of the stock right before the earnings are out and i'm expecting the stock to be around 80 by then. i'm not sure where the dow will end the year but starting tomorrow you are going to see a lot of buying. cpq and hboc are a couple other solid plays i like. good luck
