You're probably paying the offer on buys, and getting the bid on sells, I bet. Using an MBT, or one of the others would allow YOU to be the MM, buying at the bid and selling at the offer, most of the time. You also have access to more than one ECN, SOES, SelectNet, after hours trading, and more, depending who you go with.

Len,

Thanks for reminding me why I need to send in my application and at least try MBT to see how it works. I can't really know until I do so.

I'm guessing that, while my style might be to buy at the bid (if that is really possible), I would still throw in a market order for a sale, to ensure that it went through (at least that works best at Fido). Maybe it would work differently on MBT (a reason to paper-trade for a time with the new system).

Thanks again,

Gary Korn
