Seems you read a lot of third hand ideologically-influenced accounts of actual history. The facts are that the Fed lowered rates six times, from 6% to 1.5%, starting days after crash. NY Fed conducted open market operations (bot bonds) to the tune of five times more than the maximum it was authorized to do. First thing Hoover did was to cut income taxes. Etc. There are fantasies, and there is reality. Simple fact is that in real world not everything always works out the best possible way ... PS. I see you learned your fake facts from Zeev ...
