Stitch:

I found this passage elsewhere and wonder if you or anyone thinks it has merit as the reason for the incredible rise of the KLSE, which seems to be spreading.

The objective is to freeze offshore ringgit being used to be traded
speculatively and adversely affecting the real ringgits that are being
used within Malaysia. In simple terms, these offshore ringgits have
been used as a gambling chips and the only way to curb it is to stop
them from circulating abroad.

Thus, we should expect billions of ringgits changing hands till the
end of Sept. and billions of it would most probably be finding their
way home to Malaysia - Investment Bankers and International Banks
should take full advantage of this new policy to assist clients who
have big stock of ringgits to invest back in Malaysia - in cheap
stocks, new businesses , new investments.

Lots of ringgits coming back to Malaysia with nothin to do?
