I agree that the chart is very important, especially for position/swing trading. Very tough type of trading these days.
SOES-style trading is sometimes used to mean all kinds of daytrading. But, technically, SOES orders are specifically orders to be executed by NASDAQ's Small Order Execution System. Sometimes, though, all daytraders are generically called SOES-traders. But it's not exactly the correct way to use the term.
I think you and I were just confusing the use of the same word. If you really buy on the bid, then you are probably getting in very, very close to the exact, precise bottom, maybe you're the last one buying as the stock is dropping, your deal executing just a second before the buying comes in. You are pretty good!!!! <g>
