Your talking about a Final Blow Off Rally that can really force shortsellers, like myself, to cover. It can happen. But two conditions have to be met:

1) Massive tax cuts by the Japanese Government. In itself, Highly unlikely, but not impossible.
2) A Radical Accommodative Policy by the Fed. In itself, Highly unlikely, but not impossible.

The Wildcard here is that both nations will compromise and do what the other desperately wants it to do. This is a good possibility.

Most Shortsellers are very complacent here. They should be concerned. Never underestimate the power of American Pragmatism.
