Wrong thread, Vic. This thread for for discussing the Datek web pages, and variations that individuals have come up with. Try the regular Datek thread.

When you get there, I'd suggest that you state your problem more clearly. You say you placed a sell order, you you quote what the offer was. But it's the bid that's important. Did you mean to say "offer", or did you mean "bid"? What was the bid and size at the time?

You say you got partial fills at 10 1/8 and 10. If the bid was 10 1/8 for, say, 500 shares, and you got partial fills of 500 each at 10 1/8 and 10, then Datek didn't do anything wrong.

You aren't entitled to a fill at the offer! The offer is the best price at which any market-maker is willing to SELL shares to you. You ARE entitled to one at the bid - the best price that any market-maker is willing to PAY for your stock, subject to the size and other pending orders.

If you want to sell at the offer, place a limit order. You may or may not get a fill, of course, but you often will.
