I really think there is something fundamentally wrong when these hedge funds use American financial strength and leverages to wage a speculative war against central banks of small countries. The job of a central bank is to maintain stable currency to promote trade and economic growth. They are ultimately answerable to people of the respective countries. These financial entrepreneurs on the other hand are answerable to no one except their insatiable greed. So who cares if they disrupt currency stability, destroy what remains of Bretton Wood system, rob billions out of central banks, put the country into a economic depression, and impoverish millions of people? You made your billions, right?..... Some day, when the third world population figure out these tricks of 'financial free market', just having an American passport might mark one for death.
