Ex-screen siren ups the ante in federal lawsuit
LONGWOOD -- There's a price to be paid for using retired screen star Hedy Lamarr's face
without her permission: $5 million.
....The newly filed, seven-count complaint alleges Lamarr has only recently learned that Corel and
McGraw-Hill are illegally using the actress's photograph "on every other page" of a new 960-page
Corel publication, CorelDRAW8: The Official Guide.

The defendants are "willfully, wantonly, maliciously, illegally, unlawfully and recklessly, without the
plaintiff's express written or oral consent, solely for commercial, advertising and pecuniary motives"
using Lamarr's photograph and name, the suit alleges.
