Hi, Alan

Thanks a lot for your excellent explanation. You sure do help clear things up. Maybe you should be writing tech manuals, or do you?

So, which PCI adapter would you suggest I get to be my second one? Any ideas, or things to avoid, watch out for?

Actually, I just noticed that my Dell PC appears to have an STB Velocity 128 3D AGP video adapter. It's connected to a Dell 21-inch monitor, which I want to be my primary. I have an older NEC MultiSync 5FGe 17-inch monitor that I want to attach as secondary. What type board should I use to connect the NEC monitor? Is there a problem because my primary is an AGP type? (per your remarks: "Most" new BIOS still default back to that 1st PCI slot when multi monitors are installed and won't allow AGP to be anything except secondary. Secondary cards lose graphics accelerator properties that came built into the AGP.

Thanks in advance!

Bill
