JGoren, the only people I have "attacked personally" are some republican senators. I'm sure they can take it. I have never said that Ericsson holds the moral higher ground, I'm only pointing out that Qualcomm is at least on the same level, if not lower. I'm not politicizing these issues, either - Qualcomm has already done that and I'm merely pointing it out. I don't see how blanket denouncements of European Union internal decision making made regularly in this thread are OK, but comments on US decision making are "prejudice". Could everybody who ever characterized EU and ETSI as "socialistic" and "biased" stand up and acknowledge that they are prejudiced?

Qualcomm is not negotiating in good faith: they made big demands and are now threatening with trade war if they are not accepted. They are ruthlessly exploiting the fact that the rest of the world is scared of the republican-dominated US senate. A neutral American component manufacturer VLSI pointed out in a recent Businessweek article that Qualcomm has been making unreasonable demands. If you don't accept this kind of evidence as a sign that Qcom is acting recklessly, what would you accept?
