<I have an understanding that while lowering interest rates now may be an attractive idea, it would generate the economy a little too much creating greater inflation later. In other words, the interest rate hike in the future may be of more consequence under lowering of interest rates today.> Jan, thanks for sharing your opinion, which happens to be the same as mine. We've had a spirited debate over the weekend on this issue and great insight from many participants. Interesting reaction today to Greenspan.
