RESEARCH ALERT - BT Alex. Brown ups Lucent NEW YORK, Sept 8 (Reuters) - BT Alex. Brown said Tuesday it has raised Lucent Technologies Inc. to a buy from market perform. Also, LU is bouncing of it's 50day line when looking at a 3 day chart and a trend line that started in 1996, plus stochastics indicators are showing possible trend reversal in the making. Add in the prospect of a rate reduction by the fed, I can safely say that if LU can hold here or go higher, the down trend has been halted . If todays action is any indicator, LU has changed direction. Lets hope todays gain can be built on. Greg
