TROYMIN OPTIONS ST. MAURICE NICKEL-COBALT
PROSPECT TO ORMICO
Calgary, Alberta September 03, 1998
Troymin Resources Ltd. is pleased to announce that subject to
regulatory approval, it has optioned the St. Maurice prospect in the La
Tuque area of central Quebec to Ormico Exploration Ltd. (OMX-ME). Ormico
has the option to acquire a 51% undivided interest in the property
contingent upon making a $5,000 initial cash payment and spending $650,000
in exploration work over a three year period.
The St. Maurice property includes 16 claim blocks covering a total
of 6,114 hectares.The area hosts Proterozoic ultramafic intrusions cutting
orthogneiss and sulfidic paragneiss. Known showings of massive sulfides,
all hosted within peridotite-pryoxenite intrusions, grade 4.0 to 4.8% Ni
and 0.15-0.18% Co.
The 1998-1999 exploration program will focus on the Bourgeoys block,
specifically on three unexposed airborne conductors (Tete Nord, Tete Sud
and Louise) that are located within an arcuate magnetic structure that is
3.5km long. Line cutting is underway in preparation for a ground
geophysical program.
