Hi Steven,..Re: one who cannot learn
It seems that a general premise that the bears like to articulate is the global slowing of PC sales; however, articles like the one Greg posted this morning show PC sales in Japan up nicely.

A further mistake they insist on making is equating current market share with final market share. <VBG> Well, we know after several years that this can be a huge mistake.
Finally, when Mr. Platt of HWP says business is cooling in the US and will be noticeable in the next few months, as posted below, then some who are logically challenged take this to mean that the PC/server/printer business is going down the tubes. I guess they didn't remember that HWP has missed estimates for the last 7 out of 8 quarters and possibly more. (We can look the exact figure up to substantiate but it always seems when earnings come up on CNBC that it is notable how many quarters they have missed.) So given this level of business execution, why would anyone believe that the US economy is slowing, much less the PC business? Maybe it's just the HWP economy and they are trying to cushion another disappointing quarter?

At any rate, some are only willing to embrace and invest in the negatives, so no matter what compelling evidence exists to the contrary, the world is going to hell in a handbasket! <VBG>
