<<Perhaps I am guilty of "falling in love" with a stock>>

Gross understatement which should qualify for some sort of award. You are right up there with Janybird on the CCSI thread.

<<However you are guilty of the opposite ie "falling in hate" with a stock.>>

Notice how much (little) time I have spent "hating" VVUS in the last few months. Perhaps a half dozen posts.

<<The part I find difficult to grasp is that as a health professional you should be glad that MUSE is
available as another alternative to treating a rather complex disorder.>>

I am, but patient acceptance is very poor. That is all I am trying to point out.

<<Nobody on the long thread argues that MUSE is perfect, cheap or less invassive than popping a
pill and this has not been the premise of believing in the products place in the ED market.>>

Man, I have to disagree strongly with you on that one. I won't accuse you of believing this, but go back and review TUNA's and a bunch of the other rabid longs' posts.

<<IMO your tough slant against Vivus is mostly inspired by your own laziness in having to spend
some time with a patient in explaining the use of a technique oriented therapy. >>

Well I never represented myself as the next Mother Theresa. Making MUSE work is time consuming and labor intensive. That is part of the problem. Physicians aren't well paid for this type of activity. Frankly I get paid less and less each year for my skills as it is. It is just a rational use of resources.

You of course don't know me but if you did you would find out that I have a reputation as one of the few urologists in the community that spends time with patients, listening with a sympathetic ear and educating them so that they understand their condition and treatment. But even "nice guys" have a limit. Patients and their insurance companies love it when you just sit and talk to the patient. They just don't want to pay for the time.

Sorry if my attitude sounds mercenary but I assume you, too, expect a paycheck at the end of the week/month.
