Fairmile begins drilling at Buffalo Valley FAIRMILE GOLD CORPORATION Telephone: 1-888-599-6777 Toll Free Fax: (604) 683-2540 September 8, 1998 ASE: FLA Fairmile begins drilling at Buffalo Valley Vancouver, BC - Fairmile Gold Corporation (Fairmile) has begun drilling at its wholly owned Buffalo Valley gold property. The project is located along the prolific Battle Mountain/Eureka Gold Trend in north central Nevada. Drilling will concentrate on Target L, which is located immediately west of the previously identified +600,000 ounce resource at the A/B/O Complex. The Buffalo Valley Fault zone is an important ore control at the A/B/O Complex, and Fairmile has utilized geophysics to identify what it believes are parallel faults at Target L. Fairmile believes these faults could host pods of gold mineralization in the Target L area that are at least as large as the existing resource. The drilling program will consist of seven holes for a total footage of approximately 5,000 feet. Target L is the only target to be drilled in this program. Several other high-quality targets identified at Buffalo Valley will be drilled at a later date. Funds for this campaign became available through a recent private placement in the Company.
